Ampheon's Web Design Trophy Cabinet Expands: Another International Award

Published on July 14, 2011

Following on from the news that Ampheon won an international web design award yesterday, it is our pleasure to announce that Ampheon has picked up one more award. This time for Outstanding Achievement in the Real Estate category for our work on the Estate Agent review site, Agentright (www.agentright.com). We're already in the process of building a larger trophy cabinet having now picked up four website awards in less than a year; two in Ecommerce and two in Real Estate.

Malcolm Wright, our Managing Director, said "What can I say? This award provides substantive, external evidence that Ampheon are extremely good at what they do. We take great care in every detail of a project; from the very first opening discussions about what is required right the way through the web design and development, and onwards to the testing, moving to live and post-live support. Not all web design companies are the same - it is a cliche but very much true. We know because we have taken on so many clients that have had bad experiences with previous web design companies and these days who can one trust? Independantly judged awards provide that assurance that the web design company can do exactly what it says - or perhaps, even better."

We would be delighted to welcome you on board as a client, and to experience the Ampheon difference that could, perhaps, see your web site on show on the international stage as an award-winning web site. For more information, please contact us.

Ampheon Wins Another International E-Commerce Web Design Award!

Published on July 12, 2011

We continue to go from strength-to-strength, winning our second international web design award in the E-Commerce category. On this occasion, our award was for our work on the English / Russian bilingual e-commerce site for Ural Diamond Bourse: www.uraldb.ru. The international award is judged by leaders in web design, advertising, public relations, publishing, news and other industries from companies such as American Express, Cadbury’s, Deutsche Bank, Microsoft, OgilvyOne, Time Warner and Verizon. Judging covers web site design, content, functionality, usability and standards compliance.

The IMA judges commented that the Outstanding Achievement (E-commerce) award is an extremely challenging award to win and represents excellence and great accomplishment. However, being our second award within a year - the last being for Best in Class (E-commerce) - we feel that this more than establishes Ampheon as a leading E-commerce solution provider.

Malcolm Wright, Managing Director of Ampheon explained that such awards are far from easy to win “Having won Outstanding Achievement and Best in Class awards on different client projects last year, to now go on and achieve another award this year really does highlight how an extremely competent team with cross-disciplines in website design, coding and development and business consulting can lead to an outstanding result. If just one of these disciplines doesn't perform to the higest standard, it can make the difference between success and failure.”

This independently verified award demonstrates our authority in UK web development, particularly for bespoke e-commerce / online stores. If you’re looking to build a new web site, or update your existing web site, contact us today to see how our award winning team can help to realise your project.

Ampheon Merges with Fathom Business Solutions

Published on July 8, 2011

We have great pleasure in announcing that with immediate effect, Ampheon has merged with Fathom Business Solutions in Purley, Surrey . For some time, we have been looking to partner with a company who can offer Ampheon's clients a greater UK presence whilst having long-standing, established experience in the industry and a similar ethos to Ampheon. We have found that partner in Fathom who have been providing graphic design, web design and development, hosting and marketing services since 1999 and whose clients include companies of all sizes up to and in including larger organisations such as Easyjet and Esprit. 75% of their work comes from recommendation, which we feel speaks volumes about the level of service they provide.

The merger will mean that with immediate effect Ampheon's clients will have greater access to UK staff, including sales, account management, project management, design, development and administration. Fathom have a UK team of 15 based in their own offices in Purley, Surrey and when combined with Ampheon's overseas partners this gives us access to a substantial pool of highly experienced talent and a joint turnover in excess of £1 million.

Moving forwards, all of Ampheon's and all of Fathom's staff will be retained, and in fact new staff have been recruited. This means that both companies will continue to provide a high level of service, but with the added benefit of more team members to fulfil projects and provide post-project and hosting support.

As a result of this merger, we've got lots of exciting ideas in the pipeline and in the coming months you can expect to see an exciting range of new and improved services. Those of us as Ampheon, as well as the entire team at Fathom look forward to developing business relationships further with our clients.

Should you have any questions about the merger, I remain available for you and please do feel free to contact me. In the meantime, you can find out more about Fathom at www.fathomgroup.co.uk.

Best regards

Diamonds are Forever…. with Ampheon Web Design, London

Published on May 24, 2011

There is a distinct reason why you don’t see many sites online selling genuine precious gemstones, mainly because it is so difficult to promote such beautiful and complicated items without seeing them in person. Ampheon Web Design London however have succeeded in creating a professional, informative and bi-lingual site that is a cut above the rest. The site can be found at www.uraldb.com.

Here you can browse through beautiful rare gemstones in search of your perfect precious stone.  Ural Diamonds has even got an online facility that enables you to input your desired requirements and in return receive a comprehensive, customised quote. The best thing about the e-commerce quoting system is that you are not committed to buying the product at this stage.

The Ural Diamonds site involves a complex system for managing and displaying the stones as different stones have different criteria and the criteria themselves differ between Russian and English. The website also needed to offer complete self-management of stones, stone criteria, stone size variations, stock levels, quote requests and quote confirmations. We were dedicated in the quest to provide the Russian company with a high-end business and technical consultancy and a complete, documented analysis of the solution.

The next step was to design the website in such a way that centred its focus on creating a professional image, whilst offering its potential customers an opportunity to easily search for and admire precious gemstones from an extensive and complex stock supply. The project also included wireframes, testing and some basic search engine optimisation post-launch.

Ampheon are a web design company based in Covent Garden, London, and are responsible for the complete design of the website and logo.  We are an established company that have successfully designed hundreds of websites worldwide.
